The trick to a quick installation is knowing how to configure the Moneris terminal. The trick to a smooth installation is following the steps on LightSpeed’s website which detail, step by step, how to get things running properly. Check out their official support page here…
The other thing that you should know is that each terminal requires it’s own ethernet network connection. If you’ve been running your existing credit card terminal on ethernet instead of a phone line, this won’t be an issue since you’ll just use the same plug. However, if you don’t have a hard-wire network connection at your front counter, some network wiring may be in order as the terminal connects directly to your network and not to your computer.
This may sound a bit confusing but don’t worry. In an effort to help any LightSpeed owner that wishes to sign up with Moneris, we’ll be offering a free consultation to help you get started with your new terminal if you sign up through us!
The first question that everyone asks is, “How much?” The answer is not an easy one as everyone’s store is different and your rate will depend on a couple of factors. The best way to get started is to email or call us and we’ll get a Moneris Agent that is familiar with the LightSpeed integration to contact you. They’ll ask some basic questions and be able to get you the information that you need without any obligation on your part until you decide to move forward.
