QuickBooks for Mac and Mountain Lion

quickbooksFor those of you that currently use QuickBooks for Mac, you may also have received the following email from Intuit regarding upgrading to Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.

Be sure to apply the R10 update before upgrading to Lion and you shouldn’t have any problems. If all this is confusing to you, don’t hesitate to contact my office to book a session and we’ll get you sorted out.

Dear Kristin,

Let’s talk about Mountain Lion!

Like a lot of Mac users, everyone on the QuickBooks for Mac team is excited about the upcoming release of OS X 10.8: Mountain Lion. You may be wondering how Mountain Lion will affect your version of QuickBooks for Mac.

QuickBooks 2012 for Mac is supported on Mountain Lion. Download the R10 update we released last week, if you haven’t already. In the meantime, we’re still testing and will keep you posted on any new updates that you may need to install. Check for updates by clicking QuickBooks > Check for QuickBooks Updates.

But don’t worry—you don’t have to upgrade to Mountain Lion to use QuickBooks for Mac 2012. If you’re running QuickBooks for Mac on 10.6 Snow Leopard or 10.7 Lion, you can keep on using it just as you always have.

We really appreciate your business and wish you happy accounting whether you choose to upgrade to Mountain Lion or stay with your current version of OS X.

You’ll find great answers to your questions and advice on our Community. You can also find us on Facebook and Twitter. And Little Square will keep you up-to-date with new developments about QuickBooks for Mac on Mountain Lion.

Sincerely,

The QuickBooks for Mac Team
