It is with great pleasure, and pride, that I can report the successful completion of two trade shows this past week. It was hard work with long days and many challenges along the way but I had help from some great people which made everything come together in the end.
In Toronto, my awesome assistant, Sherri, took charge of presenting LightSpeed to clothing retail store owners all across Ontario in an industry show called, The Profile Show. The show exceeded our expectations and Sherri was able to introduce many new store owners to the wonders of LightSpeed.
It’s always nice to meet someone who learns about LightSpeed for the first time. It’s as if they just found an oasis in the desert. Their expressions range from surprise to relief as they discover that you really can run your business on a Mac! The Profile Show always has lots of these types of visitors and we’re always happy to show them the way to retail enlightenment.
Meanwhile, many kilometres away, in Montreal, I had the extreme pleasure of presenting LightSpeed to bike shop owners from all over Canada at the Bicycle Trade Association of Canada’s big annual trade show called, Expocycle.
Packed to the brim with all of the latest bicycles and bike-related gear, it seemed an odd thing that there was a booth devoted to computer software… but with many store owners coming up to the booth to tell us how much they loved their existing LightSpeed system, we knew that we were in the right place.
Bike shops everywhere are discovering what a great fit LightSpeed is for their type of store. With the ability to handle Quotes, Special Orders, Serialized products and an entire workflow devoted to running a service department, it’s no wonder why they love their LightSpeed system.
I was fortunate to have a client of mine recommend this show to me. He must have known that it would be a good fit. If you attend a trade show every year that is intended for retail store owners, feel free to send me an email and let me know. Who knows… maybe we’ll show up at your trade show next! 😉
